Georgia Judge Calls Sex-Abusing Mom Amanda Arellano “Vile Bitch” During Sentencing

Amanda ArellanoA disgusted Georgia county judge verbally eviscerated a woman being sentenced to three decades behind bars for sexually abusing her two young daughters, calling her a “vile bitch” and saying she will spend eternity in “hell.”

The Macon Telegraph reports 29-year-old Amanda Arellano of Crawford County pleaded guilty to rape, aggravated child molestation and other offenses involving her boyfriend, 30-year-old Daniel Copeland, and her two daughters. The girls were 5 and 8 years old at the time the abuse occurred in late 2011 and early 2012.

Copeland, of Fort Valley, pleaded guilty last year to rape and four counts of aggravated child molestation and was sentenced to 25 years behind bars.

Copeland told authorities that he and Arellano started doing drugs in late 2011 and became “especially sexual” when high. The couple, who were living in the Baconsfield area of Macon at the time, began performing sex acts in front of the young girls. The abuse turned into what Bibb County Prosecutor Nancy Scott Malcor called “an everyday thing,” and it wasn’t long before the couple began preying on the children.

Arellano forced the 8-year-old to have sex, including oral, vaginal and anal, with Copeland, who also had oral sex with the younger child and unsuccessfully tried to commit additional sex crimes with her. Prosecutors told the court how Arellano pinned her helpless daughter down while Copeland raped her, explaining, “this is how men show they love you.”

The victims were not called to testify out of concern for their psychological well-being.

The courtroom proceedings left many participants and observers shaken, with some visibly weeping.

“I almost had to get up and walk out,” the bailiff told the Telegraph.

Bibb County Superior Court Judge Howard Simms glared at Arellano before handing down her lengthy sentence before excoriating her in a decidedly unprofessional manner.

“Ms. Arellano, I don’t know that I have ever said a curse word from this bench, but you may be the vilest bitch that I have ever met,” spat Simms, who added that there is “a special place in hell” for people who commit crimes such as hers.

“I’m sorry. … I’m so sorry. And I will punish myself more than you can probably ever punish me, sir,” Arellano whimpered.
