Li Hao, Killer Who Kept 6 Women as Sex Slaves in Luoyang Torture Dungeon, Executed in China

Li Hao executed

A Chinese man who kept six women as sex slaves in a torture dungeon where he killed at least two of his victims has been executed.

BBC reports Li Hao, 36, of Luoyang, Henan province was executed after being sentenced to death in 2012. Li was convicted of multiple charges, including murder, rape, organized prostitution and illegal detention.

CNN International reports Li was executed “according to law” after a final meeting with relatives in a Luoyang lockup.

Li imprisoned his victims in a squalid, makeshift dungeon beneath a rented storeroom. He reportedly recruited the women from a local karaoke bar. Once kidnapped, he subjected them to horrific sexual and psychological tortures, raping them repeatedly and forcing them to perform in pornographic videos which he then sold online.

The former firefighter and married father of one child kept his sex slaves hidden away from the world. His dungeon was accessible only through a narrow tunnel that was sealed off from the outside world with heavy iron doors. His wife and son were completely unaware of his criminal exploits.

Li kept some of his victims imprisoned for as long as two years. He intentionally kept them malnourished in order to keep them weak and more compliant. In addition to performing in pornographic videos, Li forced them to have sex with other men for money. This was the only time they were allowed to leave the dungeon. It was on one such outing that one of the women was able to escape and notify authorities.

The remains of two women murdered by Li were found in the foul-smelling dungeon in September 2011. It was reported at the time that his captives were competing for his attention, with two of the women eventually fighting over him. Three of Li’s victims were also charged and convicted of murder over the killing of two other captives, but a court was lenient with them because it was determined they had acted under duress. One of the women was sentenced to three years in prison; the other two received probation.
