Death by ‘Atomic Wedgie’: Oklahoman Brad Lee Davis Charged with Murdering Stepdad
An Oklahoma man is in police custody after allegedly killing his stepfather by giving him an ‘atomic wedgie’ last month.
CBS news reports 33-year-old Brad Lee Davis has been charged with the murder of his stepfather, 58-year-old Denver St. Clair, during a drunken fight at St. Clair’s home in McLoud, 25 miles (40 km) east of Oklahoma City, on December 21.
Davis, who was arrested on Tuesday, allegedly “grabbed St. Clair’s underwear and gave him an ‘atomic wedgie,'” according to a court document. “Davis allegedly pulled the elastic waistband of St. Clair’s underwear over his head and around his neck.”
St. Clair died of asphyxiation and blunt force trauma to the head, according to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s office.
Urban Dictionary defines ‘atomic wedgie’ as “when one is still in underwear and someone pulls up on the waistband and tries to pull it over the receiver’s head.”
NBC News reports Pottawatamie County Sheriff’s officials allege the men got into the fight while drinking together after St. Clair made offensive remarks about his wife, who is also Davis’ mother.
Davis is being held without bond in the Pottawatamie County Jail. He is due in court on January 22.
