Erin Henton, California Assistant Principal, Accused of Sex with 3 Students
Erin Henton, 45, assistant vice principal at Tahquitz High School in Hemet, was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of sexual battery and other crimes against three boys, all under 18, who attend the school.
Hemet police claim Henton had prolonged sexual relationships with the boys over the course of the past several months. KTLA reports that police began investigating Henton in early March after parents reported the alleged illicit relationship between her and their son.
School administrators have relieved Henton of her duties and placed her on leave pending an investigation.
Henton has been charged with 12 felony counts: 7 counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, 4 counts of oral copulation with a minor and one count of distribution of harmful material to a minor. She is being held on a $1 million bail.
Henton is the second assistant principal in as many months to be accused of having sex with students. Mark West, 30, of Spring High School in Spring, Texas, was arrested last month and charged with having sex with a female student on campus during a prom event last year.
