Ontario Couple Ryan Brett and Donna Fleury Arrested on Marijuana, Gun and Bestiality Charges
An Ontario couple is facing marijuana, firearms and bestiality charges after police found more than 1,600 pot plants in a Milton home also being used as a dog kennel.
Canoe.ca reports that Ryan Brett and Donna Fleury, both 34, are accused of running a marijuana growing operation out of their Milton home.
Police found more than 1,600 cannabis plants while executing a search warrant on Thursday. Officers also seized more than $9,500 in harvested marijuana, anabolic steroids, a 12-gauge shotgun and “evidence of bestiality involving a dog.”
Police estimated the total value of all the illicit pot at the home to be around $210,000.
In addition to the couple, two young children live at the home.
Brett and Fleury have each been charged with bestiality, unlawful possession of a firearm and contravention of storage regulations respecting a firearm. In addition, Brett is charged with production of a controlled substance and two charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Several cases of alleged bestiality have made headlines in recent months. Last week, 57-year-old Michigan man Charles Ralph Horton was arrested and charged with sodomy for alleged sex with a lab/shepherd mix.
Also last week, Samantha L. Golt of Milford, Delaware was arrested and charged with having sex with a dog. Her boyfriend, James P. Crow, was also apprehended and accused of taking photos of the illicit acts.
And in November, 20-year-old Brittany Angelique Sonnier of Arizona was charged with “crimes against nature” for allegedly having sex with multiple dogs, something her ex-boyfriend claims she’d been doing since age 13.
