Vitaly Zdorovetskiy Nearly Shot While Chasing Residents in ‘Miami Zombie Prank’ Video

A wannabe Russian actor was nearly shot in Miami on Saturday after he dressed up as a zombie and chased spooked young city residents.

Normally, the sight of a zombie staggering around city streets would be met with laughter. But Miami residents are on edge this week following the police shooting death of Rudy Eugene, a naked, drug-crazed “zombie” who was killed while chewing on the face of an elderly homeless man on a causeway offramp on May 27.

The video, titled “Miami Zombie Attack Prank!,” was posted on YouTube by Russian amateur actor/filmmaker Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, purveyor of VitalyzdTV. It has been viewed by more than 1.1 million people since being posted on Saturday.

In the video, Zdorovetskiy, dressed and acting like a zombie, chases terrified young black Miami residents around streets, parking lots and a basketball court. Around two minutes into the video, a man can be seen pointing an object at the prankster that he says was a gun.

“Very Dangerous Prank!” Zdorovetskiy wrote on his YouTube page. “Almost Got Shot at 2:00! DO NOT TRY IT!”

One young man in the video can also be seen hurling a basketball at the “zombie’s” head. At the three-minute mark, a group of youths turns the tables on Zdorovetskiy and begins chasing him, at which point the video ends.

It is unclear why Zdorovestkiy chose to target blacks, but it is not the first time he has done so. According to the Huffington Post, he was arrested by Delray Beach police for impersonating a law enforcement officers and humiliating young black residents for wearing their pants too low.

The Rudy Eugene case was but the first of a string of gruesomely bizarre zombie-like attacks that occurred throughout North America last week.

On Memorial Day, 43-year-old Wayne Carter from Hackensack, New Jersey disemboweled himself and threw his own guts at police officers as they busted into his home. Two cans of pepper spray did nothing to stop Carter; a SWAT team had to be called in to subdue him.

Next came the most horrific news of the whole “zombie” wave: up in Montreal, a kitten-killing gay porn star named Luka Rocco Magnotta murdered a 33-year-old Chinese student named Lin Jun, beheaded him, cut him into pieces, sodomized the dead torso, ate pieces of his body, fed some of it to a hungry dog and mailed the victim’s hand and foot to the headquarters of Canada’s two main political parties. Magnotta, who was captured in Berlin, Germany on Monday, filmed the whole grisly murder and its aftermath and posted it online.

On Thursday, Maryland police arrested college student Alexander Kinyua, who confessed to killing his roommate, cutting him into pieces, and eating his heart and his brains.
