‘Bunga Bunga’ Party Girl Marysthell Polanco Says Silvio Berlusconi Made Her Dress Up As Barack Obama in Raunchy Burlesque Show

A Dominican woman who attended Silvio Berlusconi’s infamous “bunga bunga parties” says the former Italian prime minister had her dress up as US President Barack Obama and perform a burlesque show.

Marysthell Garcia Polanco, a stunning 28-year-old, testified before a Rome court during Berlusconi’s trial for paying an underage girl for sex. Polanco said the parties she attended weren’t the sordid sexcapades chronicled by the Italian and international media, but rather “elegant dinners” and innocent fun.

Entertainment at the lavish parties, which took place at Berlusconi’s opulent Palazzo Grazioli in Rome and one of his villas outside Milan, sometimes consisted of beautiful young women performing burlesque shows. Polanco says that she dressed up as Obama, who Berlusconi described as “suntanned,” in one of those shows.

She also dressed up as Ilda Boccassini, one of the prosecutors in the ongoing trial at which Polanco was testifying.

“I dressed up as Boccassini with a toga to make him laugh, and also as Obama,” she told the court.

Berlusconi is on trial for allegedly paying Moroccan-born Karima El-Mahroug, also known as “Ruby the Heartstealer,” for sex in 2010. El-Mahroug was 17 years old at the time.

Polanco’s description of the “bunga bunga parties” differs markedly from the accounts of other female attendees. Prosecutors’ evidence includes wiretapped conversations in which one woman tells another that the party she attended was a “whorehouse.”

“It’s unbelievable, you have no idea,” she said. “You can’t begin to imagine what goes on there. The papers don’t tell the half of it even when they’re massacring him. You’re either ready to do anything or you take a taxi and leave”.

Polanco, who is a member of the all-girl group Muñecas con Clase (Dolls with Class) and a single mother, was allegedly provided with a Milan apartment by Berlusconi. In one wiretapped conversation, the then-prime minister told her he was going through a tough time politically and needed her intimate company to make him feel better.

“I’m in a very difficult moment in my political life, I’ve just delivered four speeches to parliament, it was really hard,” he told her in January 2011. “I’m in a very tough fight but when I win the war, then I will see you and I will make the most of your lips.”
