California Mom Mistie Atkinson Charged for Incest with 16-Year-Old Son; Sex Caught on Cell Phone

A California mother has been arrested and charged with incest with her biological teenage son, videos of which were found on the boy’s cell phone.

The Napa Valley Register reports that 32-year-old Mistie Atkinson, of Nice, Lake County, was arrested in March in Ukiah, where police discovered her in a hotel room with her 16-year-old son.

Atkinson was charged with incest, oral copulation of someone under the age of 18, contact with a minor for a sexual offense and sending harmful matter to the boy, court documents state. She has pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

Napa police told Napa Superior Court that videos found on the boy’s cell phone show Atkinson performing oral sex and having intercourse with her son.

“Atkinson and the victim are aware they are biological mother and son,” police said.

The mother is also accused of sending sexually explicit text messages to her son. The pair allegedly discussed running away together as well.

The boy’s father, who has custody of the teen, has a restraining order against Atkinson.

She is being held in the Napa County Jail on a $200,000 bail.
