‘Douche du Jour’: Dalina Nicholas, Florida Woman, Arrested for Selling Sex with 6-Year-Old Daughter for Drugs

A Florida woman is in police custody after being arrested in Georgia and accused of selling sex with her six-year-old daughter in exchange for drugs.

The Florida Times-Union reports that 35-year-old Dalina J. Nicholas of Jacksonville Beach was apprehended in Muscogee County, Georgia as a fugitive and will be extradited back to Florida as early as this weekend.

Acting on a tip from a homeless man who had been in Nicholas’ home to use drugs, Sgt. Mark Evans and other officers began investigating claims of child sex abuse. Police sought to arrest Nicholas after interviewing the alleged victim, who was six years old at the time of the abuse. The child gave police detailed descriptions of the horrific abuse she endured at the hands of men who allegedly were allowed to rape her in exchange for providing her Nicholas with drugs.

“It was heartbreaking … to hear the things that this little girl said had taken place,” Evans told the Times-Union. 

Neighbors reported seeing many different men coming and going from Nicholas’ home around the clock.

Also arrested were 56-year-old Quinn M. Brooks and 47-year-old John F. Hagans, both of whom were charged with sexual battery in the case. The two men have at least 45 arrests between them.

The child is now undergoing therapy and living with her grandparents, one of whom is defending Nicholas against the shocking allegations. Nicholas’ mother claims her daughter and granddaughter are the victims of sexually abusive drug dealers.

“These drug dealers kept returning and basically they took over her home,” the child’s grandmother told the Times-Union. “She was as much a victim as her daughter was.”

But Jacksonville Beach Police Chief Bruce Thomason isn’t buying that story right now.

“I can’t think of an adjective that’s bad enough to describe [the allegations],” Thomason told the Times-Union. “Anyone who would harm a child is just beneath contempt.”
