‘Douche du Jour’: Arthur Jones, Chicagoland Republican Candidate for U.S. Congress, Says Holocaust is “Blackest Lie in History”

A Republican candidate for United States Congress with a Nazi past says that the Holocaust never happened.

OakLawnPatch reports that Arthur Jones is seeking to challenge Democrat Dan Lipinksi for Illinois’ 3rd Congressional District seat in this November’s election. The 64-year-old insurance salesman, who is fond of throwing “family-friendly” neo-Nazi events around Hitler’s birthday, is an unapologetic Nazi and an ardent Holocaust denier.

“As far as I’m concerned, the Holocaust is nothing more than an international extortion racket by the Jews,” Jones is quoted in OakLawnPatch. “It’s the blackest lie in history. Millions of dollars are being made by Jews telling this tale of woe and misfortune in books, movies, plays and TV. The more survivors, the more lies that are told.”

In his younger days, Jones was an avid participant in a 1978 Nazi march on Chicago’s Marquette Park. He does not repudiate his past Nazism, and still calls himself a “National Socialist.”

“Philosophically, I’m a National Socialist,” Jones is quoted in OakLawnPatch. “Officially, I don’t belong to any party except my own, the America First Committee.”

This is Jones’ third run for Congress. As you can imagine, he hasn’t gotten far.

Still, Jones, a Vietnam veteran, does make one very good point about U.S. foreign policy, although his delivery is a bit convoluted:

“These war-mongering fools in congress like Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney—we can’t let Iran have one nuclear weapon but we let Israel have all the nuclear weapons they want. This is ridiculous.”

Jones’ valid point is, of course, eclipsed by his rabid anti-Semitism.

The 3rd Congressional District includes parts of Chicago’s South Side and a sprawling area of surrounding suburbs.

I cannot beleive this is actually happening. My Grandfather left Germany because (his words)the bad men wanted him to do bad things to people. The people that say it never happpened are either liers, idiots or complete fools. WE need to remember what happened or it will happen again.
