‘Douche du Jour’: Veterinarian Thomas Lyle Wilson Charged with Horse Sex at Oklahoma State University

Being a veterinarian carries with it a great deal of trust. Like a human doctor, vets are supposed to always act in the patient’s best interests. But according to police, a veterinarian medicine student violated that trust by raping a horse in his care.

Mail Online reports that 28-year-old Thomas Lyle Wilson has been arrested and charged with a crime against nature over the alleged rape of a horse while he was a vet student at Oklahoma State University in Tulsa in September 2009.

Wilson, who is now a veterinarian, appeared in a Tulsa courtroom last Thursday, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge against him. The court heard that on September 14, 2009, another vet was checking up on horses in the university clinic’s barn and “observed the defendant having sex with a horse.”

The vet confronted Wilson, who allegedly confessed: “I’m glad you caught me. I need help.”

Said Judge Dale Fullerton: “This will be my first time in 18-plus years of investigating this type of case.”

But it’s far from the first time something like this has happened. Earlier this month, Texan Cirilo Castillo was busted by a  horse owner in Hidalgo County whose surveillance camera caught him raping one of his animals.
