‘Douche du Jour’: University of Oklahoma Professor Dwain Pellebon Charged with Child Rape
A 54-year-old University of Oklahoma professor has been arrested and charged with six sex crimes involving children and teenagers.
According to the Norman Transcript, Dwain Pellebon was charged with multiple felonies, including rape and committing lewd acts with a child, on Monday for offenses involving at least three girls. Pellebon was charged with two counts of rape in the first degree of a victim under age 14, two counts of child sexual abuse by lewd acts and two counts of lewd acts with a child under 16.
According to court documents, child welfare specialist Theressa Doussett contacted Norman Police Department Children’s Victim Unit Detective David Freudiger on December 1 to report that “Pellebon has had several inappropriate relationships with young girls, ages nine to 13 years old, for many years.”
The report says that a 13-year-old girl witnessed Pellebon fondle another 13-year-old at a sleepover party at his home. He is alleged to have sexually abused a mentally-challenged 15-year-old as well. That girl says the professor would lie naked on his bed and ogle her.
In a subsequent interview, Pellebon admitted to Freudiger that he had developed “close relationships” with young girls. Court documents state that Pellebon “said that he is an ‘affectionate, sensual man’ who liked to hug, kiss, cuddle and ‘stroke’ young girls he felt close to.”
After his arrest on December 9, Norman police found a pair of girls’ underwear and a box of papers containing dates along with the names and ages of various children.
