A group of white teens beating and then running over a randomly-chosen black man with a pickup truck was caught on video in Mississippi.
According to CNN, the teens were specifically hunting for a black victim.
“Let’s go fuck with some niggers,” 18-year-old Deryl Dedmond, Jr. of Brandon suggested to a group of his buddies as they partied and drank alcohol late Saturday night in Rankin County. Just before dawn, two carloads of white teens drove 16 miles to Jackson on a “mission of hate.”
The first black person they saw was 49-year-old auto worker James Craig Anderson, who was standing in a parking lot near his car. The teens, led by Dedmond, brutally assaulted Anderson, repeatedly yelling racist slurs– including “White Power!”– as they beat him. Dedmond and two teenage girls then jumped into a Ford pickup truck. Dedmond floored the accelerator, running over and killing Anderson instantly.
Unbeknownst to the assailants, a video surveillance camera recored the killing.
“This was a crime of hate. Dedmond murdered this man because he was black,” Hinds County District Attorney Robert Shuler Smith told CNN. “The evidence will show that.”
According to some of the teens present on that murderous night, Dedmond boasted about killing Anderson. “I ran that nigger over,” he allegedly bragged.
“He was not remorseful, he was laughing, laughing about the killing,” Smith said.
Dedmond has been charged with murder and could face a double life sentence. Also charged was John Aaron Rice, but his charge was reduced from murder to assault by Judge William Barnett and he was released on a $5,000 bond. None of the other teens involved have been charged with any crimes.
One can imagine the punishment would be quite different had the victim been white and the killers black.

Because if they were black and James was
white they all would be in jail.
The man’s family should be allowed to beat these punks to death within a reasonable length of time, say 24 hours. The cost of cleaning up would be negligible next to the cost of useless incarceration.
