Rapper Lupe Fiasco: “To Me, the Biggest Terrorist is Obama”
Platinum-selling rapper Lupe Fiasco, appearing on the CBS program “What’s Trending,” spoke truth to power as he so often does. Fiasco, who was born Wasalu Muhammad Jaco, once told Stephen Colbert that “you should criticize power even if you agree with it.” And judging from Fiasco’s comments on CBS, it’s a safe bet that he certainly does not agree with President Obama’s handling of the War on Terror or US foreign policy in general.
“In my fight against terrorism, to me, the biggest terrorist is Obama, in the United States of America,” Fiasco, who has over 2.5 million Facebook and Twitter followers, opined. “For me, I’m trying to fight the terrorism that’s actually causing the other forms of terrorism. The root cause of the terrorism is the stuff that you as a government allow to happen and the foreign policies that we have in place in different countries that inspire people to become terrorists. And it’s easy for us because it’s really just some oil, which we can really get on our own.”
Couldn’t have said it better myself. Here’s the “What’s Trending” interview:
