According to the Associated Press, Lexington County Sheriff James Metts began investigating Bryant after the father of a 12-year-old boy discovered a pack of Newports in his possession last month.

Detectives say Bryant sold the cigarettes from his pickup truck, spanking the boys in the store parking lot.

Bryant is being held in the Lexington County Detention Center on $140,000 bond.
He is being charged with three counts of a lewd act on a child under the age of 16. He could face up to 60 years behind bars if convicted.
