‘Douche du Jour’: Indiana Prosecutor Told Wisconsin Governor to Stage Attack to Discredit Unions
An Indiana prosecutor has resigned after emails reveal he suggested that Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker stage a “false flag” attack on himself in order to discredit unions protesting his budget repair bill that stripped most of their collective bargaining rights away, Raw Story reports.
In an email dated February 19, Indiana deputy prosecutor Carlos F. Lam wrote:
“If you could employ an associate who pretends to be sympathetic to the unions’ cause to physically attack you (or even use a firearm against you), you could discredit the unions. Currently, the media is painting the union protest as a democratic uprising and failing to mention the role of the DNC (Democratic National Committee) and umbrella union organizations in the protests. Employing a false flag operation would assist in undercutting any support that the media may be creating in favor of the unions.”
The email was discovered by the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism. Tens of thousands of other emails were released last week after Isthmus and the Associated Press filed a lawsuit.
Last month, the Buffalo Beast, an alternative newspaper, bamboozled Governor Walker into taking a call from their editor, who was posing as billionaire and Walker campaign contributor David Koch. The faux-Koch suggested planting agitators among the Wisconsin protesters to sully their reputation. “We thought about that,” Walker replied. He sure did!
