‘Gay Demon’ Exorcist Cindy Jacobs Blames Mass Animal Deaths on Military Gay Ban Repeal
Christian evangelist Cindy Jacobs, a self-described “prophet” who once claimed she had supernatural powers that allowed her to exorcise “gay demons,” says the recent worldwide wave of mass animal deaths is to be blamed on the repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell,” the US military’s discriminatory policy banning openly gay and lesbian troops.
“According to biblical principles, marriage is between a man and a woman, so we have to say ‘what happens when a nation makes a decision that’s against God’s principles?'” Jacobs asked. “Well, often what happens is that nature itself will begin to talk to us – for instance, violent storms, flooding.” Or blackbirds dropping dead from the sky.
“Let’s talk about this Arkansas pattern and say, could it be a pattern?” Jacobs mused. “But the blackbirds fell to the ground in Beebe, Arkansas. Well the Governor of Arkansas’ name is Beebe. And also, there was something put out of Arkansas called ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ by a former Governor, this was proposed, Bill Clinton. As so, could there be a connection between this passage [Hosea 4] and now that we’ve had the repeal of the ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,’ where people now legally in the United States have broken restraints with the Scripture because the Scripture says in Romans 1 that homosexuality is not allowed.”
This isn’t the kookiest thing Jacobs has said or done, believe it or not. According to Raw Story, at a 2008 evangelical gathering, she conducted a mass exorcism of the congregation to drive out the spirits of pornography, addiction, lust, bisexuality, homosexuality, and perversion. She also promised a group of Latinos in Texas that if they voted for candidates who opposed same-sex marriage, god would grant them immigration reform.
