Arizona Border Patrol Agent Kills Mexican Teenager
A Mexican teenager was shot and killed by a US Border Patrol agent early Wednesday morning along the border between Nogales, Arizona and Heroica Nogales, Mexico. Seventeen-year-old Ramses Barron Torres was shot once as he and a group of other teens attempted to illegally enter the United States. The bullet entered the back of his right arm, passed through into his chest, punctured a lung and lodged in the left side of his ribcage. He died shortly after 3 AM at a Mexican hospital. Heroica Nogales city spokesman Alejando Palacios says that US Border Patrol agents fired warning shots in the air after the group of teens illegally crossed the border and began throwing rocks at them. The identity of the agent who killed the boy has not yet been revealed.
